Colonial Classic Cycle

Colonial Classic Cycle

The Upper Makefield Fire Company and the Upper Makefield Police Benevolent Association are working together on the 2nd Annual “Colonial Classic Cycle Event”. This event is the idea of some very exercise conscious residents who saw an opportunity to help the Fire Company and the PBA by raising some money and having some fun. The event will be held in Fall of 2013.

There will be three (3) separate opportunities for people to participate in the event.

The first being the family event along the canal towpath. This ride is recommended to go as far as the New Hope Borough Line but if you choose to turn around earlier that is your choice. Families who register 2 members for the Canal Path Ride can have additional family members ride for free.

There will also be 2 road courses through the roads of Upper Makefield Township. These rides are for riders over the age of 16 and are distances of 19 miles and 27 miles.

Cost for all rides is $30 per rider. For more information click on “The Rides” or email Rider@colonialclassiccycle.org

**St. Lawrence Rehabilitation Center, a 166-bed, physical, not-for-profit, rehabilitation hospital in Lawrenceville, NJ will be giving away a limited number of free bike helmets to children under the age of 12 with a complimentary helmet fitting.  They will also provide information about bicycle safety and concussions.**
